How the verdict is worked out
The weighting is deliberate and worth explaining, because a tool that will not show its working is just an opinion with a progress bar.
- Georgia supplement, 45%. It is 34% of the exam by count and rather more than that by risk, because no national question bank covers it.
- National outline, 35%. More questions, but material your course and every generic prep product already covered.
- Math, 20%. A smaller share, but it fails people cleanly when the setup selection is not automatic.
Two adjustments then apply. Fewer than fifty questions answered costs you points, because a small sample is not evidence. A single area below 60% costs you points too, since the exam does not average your topics either.
What this deliberately does not do
It does not give you a pass probability. GREC sets the minimum passing score by psychometric analysis and publishes it before each administration, so no fixed percentage exists to calculate against. Any site offering you odds of passing has made the number up.
If you have already failed once
Use the per-area figures from your PSI score report rather than your impression of how it went. The report is the most useful study document you will get, and the recovery plan works through the three failure patterns and what each one needs.
