Wrong. Here's why
A Georgia home sells for $285,000. The state transfer tax rate is $1.00 per $1,000 of the sale price.
$285,000 ÷ $1,000 = 285
285 × $1.00 = $285.00
The Rule
Georgia transfer tax is $1.00 for the first $1,000 and 10 cents for each additional $100, which works out to $1 per $1,000 of consideration. Do not confuse it with the intangible recording tax, which applies to the loan amount, not the price.

The Georgia difference
The exam is built from two published outlines. The national one covers the material every state tests. The Georgia supplement covers 52 questions of state law that a national question bank has no reason to include. That is 34% of your exam, and it is the part candidates underprepare.
11 content areas, weighted as PSI publishes them.
3 content areas, published as item counts rather than percentages.
BRRETA, security deeds, attorney closings, transfer and intangible tax. None of it is on the national outline.
152 scored (100 national + 52 Georgia). 1 to 10 unscored experimental items may appear. They do not count toward your score but they do use your time. Your result appears on screen when you submit, with subtotals for each portion. See every rule Georgia tests differently.

Exam facts checked against the current PSI Candidate Information Bulletin and GREC sources. Last reviewed August 2026.
The concepts are not advanced. What catches people is that 34% of the exam comes from the Georgia supplement: BRRETA, security deeds, attorney closings and Georgia taxes. A national question bank covers none of it, so candidates who studied hard can still walk in underprepared for a third of the paper.
152 scored questions: 100 from the national outline and 52 from the Georgia supplement. 1 to 10 unscored experimental items may also appear. They do not count toward your score, but they do use your time.
The PSI exam fee is $175 per attempt. The license itself is a separate $170 fee if you apply within 3 months of passing, rising to $340 between 3 and 12 months. Verify current fees with PSI and GREC before you schedule. Pass Georgia is separate exam-prep software: $59.99 once, no subscription.
Commission, proration, Georgia transfer tax, intangible recording tax, property tax on 40% assessed value, LTV, PITI, GRM, cap rate, area conversions, profit, depreciation, and appraisal adjustments. The hard part is usually not arithmetic. It is choosing the right setup before touching the calculator, especially when the stem mixes the transfer tax with the intangible tax.
Give the Georgia supplement more time than its question count suggests. It is 34% of the exam and the part your course spent least time on. Then drill math as setup selection rather than arithmetic, because that is where the marks actually go.
No. Pass Georgia is $59.99 once, with no monthly subscription and no copied state exam questions. It is exam preparation content, not a replacement for the GREC-required 75-hour pre-license course, GREC processes, PSI scheduling, or licensed professional advice.
