A test-center address is time-sensitive. The appointment confirmation wins if it disagrees with this page or even with the bulletin PDF.
How do you choose the best center?
- Search the live PSI portal for actual dates and times.
- Choose a drive you can complete with a 30-minute early-arrival buffer.
- Check parking and building access before exam morning.
- Avoid relying on a licensing counter at Decatur or Fayetteville without confirmation.
- If you plan to return for licensing, verify that the location issues licenses and that it is open during the published weekday windows.
Testing locations versus licensing locations
The bulletin says the exam is offered at six listed sites, while new licenses are issued only at four PSI test centers. It does not name the four. Duluth, Marietta, Macon, and Savannah are the sites PSI runs itself, which makes them the likely ones, so confirm with PSI before you drive there. Licensing operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., on regular business days, first come first served. Wait 24 hours after passing.

What is the PSI test-center experience like?
- Arrival. Reach the center 30 minutes early and follow the confirmation's entrance instructions.
- Identity check. Present one matching, valid, unexpired government ID with photo and signature.
- Security. Store or surrender prohibited belongings and follow all inspection instructions.
- Tutorial. Learn the interface for up to 15 minutes without using exam time.
- Examination. One question appears at a time. The screen shows time remaining and allows review before time expires.
- Tools. Use the online calculator. The center may provide scratch paper and a pencil, both returned at checkout.
- Restroom. Obtain proctor permission. No extra time is added.
- Result. View the result on screen and receive the report by email.
