What Changed on the Georgia Real Estate Exam in 2026?

PSI issued a Georgia Candidate Information Bulletin dated July 1, 2026. It confirms a $175 exam fee, 152 scored questions, one matching government ID, an online calculator, and a 24-hour wait before licensing. PSI does not publish a formal change log, so this page separates documented current instructions from claims that merely circulate online.

What is different for candidates in 2026?

The most consequential current instruction is that same-day licensing is gone. PSI now says to wait 24 hours after passing. The current bulletin also settles the ID and calculator questions: bring one matching government ID and use PSI's online calculator. Do not bring a handheld calculator.

What did not change in the published outline?

The July bulletin still describes a salesperson examination with 100national questions and 52 Georgia supplement questions. The national outline has 11 weighted areas. Contracts remains the largest at 19%. The Georgia supplement remains grouped into State Laws and Rules, Real Estate Practice in Georgia, and Finance and Closing, with 16, 21, and 15 items respectively.

See the complete official content outline for the hierarchy and the study guide for the learning path. We have not manufactured a topic change simply because the bulletin has a new date.

What PSI still does not tell the public

The public bulletin does not state the current exam duration. It also does not print a numeric passing score, even though GREC Rule 520-1-.04 says the minimum is determined using psychometrically sound methods and published before administration. It does not say that the national and Georgia subtotals have separate pass marks. Until PSI or GREC supplies those answers in writing, Pass Georgia will not turn repetition into fact.

What should you do differently?

  1. Use your PSI booking name exactly as it appears on the one ID you will present.
  2. Practice with a simple on-screen calculator, not a handheld device.
  3. Keep license documents separate from exam-day items. The GCIC report belongs to the license application.
  4. Plan a return trip at least 24 hours after passing if you want PSI to issue the license.
  5. Study the published outline instead of aiming at an unsourced percentage.

Georgia exam changes for 2026

Facts checked against the current PSI Candidate Information Bulletin and GREC sources. Last reviewed August 2, 2026. Editorial standards.

Did the Georgia real estate exam syllabus change in 2026?

PSI published a bulletin dated July 1, 2026, but it does not provide a line-by-line change log. The published salesperson outline still contains 11 national areas and three Georgia groups. We only call something a syllabus change when an official source documents it.

Can I still get my Georgia license on the day I pass?

No. The current PSI bulletin says applicants are no longer able to license on the same day. Allow 24 hours after passing before returning to an authorized PSI licensing location.

Did the Georgia real estate exam fee change?

The July 1, 2026 bulletin lists $175 for the salesperson, broker, or CAM examination. The fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable.

How can I tell if a Georgia exam page is current?

Look for the PSI bulletin edition, a specific review date, direct links to GREC rules, and a public correction log. A page that gives a 75% pass mark, four-hour duration, two-ID rule, handheld calculator, or same-day licensing without a current citation needs rechecking.
