How to Obtain a Georgia License at PSI

Same-day license issuance is not available under the July 2026 PSI bulletin. After passing, wait at least 24 hours, then use an authorized PSI licensing location during published weekday licensing hours with the required documents and fee.

Six Georgia locations are listed for testing, but the bulletin says only four PSI test centers issue licenses. Decatur and Fayetteville appear as exam sites, not confirmed licensing counters.

What you need to know

Bring the Certification of Accuracy produced after passing, the required current criminal history report, lawful-presence and secure-document material required by the current process, the $170 license fee, and sponsorship material if requesting active status.

Use the three-month deadline as an action point, not a target. The standard license fee doubles after three months. After twelve months without activation, the examination must be retaken.

The appointment confirmation controls exam-day location, while the current bulletin and direct center confirmation control a separate licensing trip. Do not assume the exam site you used can issue the license.
