How the exam uses brreta
Nearly every BRRETA question reduces to one prior question: is there a written brokerage engagement? If not, the person is a customer whatever the agent has been doing for them.

What a question on this looks like
Under BRRETA, a customer is owed:
Answer: Honesty and disclosure of material facts A customer has no brokerage engagement, so they receive honesty and material-fact disclosure. Loyalty, confidentiality and obedience belong to clients.

- Client: Under BRRETA, a person who has signed a written brokerage engagement and is therefore owed the full set of duties flowing from it.
