Pass Georgia

Georgia-specific term

Inactive license

A Georgia licence held without a sponsoring broker. The holder is licensed but may not practise real estate or receive compensation.

How the exam uses inactive license

Inactive does not mean expired or lapsed. The licence exists and is activated by filing a Sponsoring Broker Statement.

This is one of the terms Georgia handles differently from most states. If you prepared with a national question bank, check what it taught you here, because that is exactly where the state supplement takes marks back. The full list of Georgia differences.
